SOUTHEND United have completed the loan signing of Manchester United midfielder Ethan Hamilton.
The 20-year-old will be with the Shrimpers for the remainder of the season.
And Blues boss Kevin Bond is pleased to have Hamilton on board.
“I’ve been aware of Ethan for quite a while actually and I’m delighted to get him in," said Bond.
“He’s a strong boy, nice size, competitive, can get in the box as well.
“He’s got experience of the level as well having been on loan at Rochdale last season.
“I know they were massively keen to get him back again so we’ve done well to get him.
“He’ll be good with the ball and he’ll be good for us without the ball. Obviously it’s an area of the pitch that we needed strengthening and he’ll certainly bring a lot of quality.”
Hamilton will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's trip to Lincoln City.
