MARTIAL ARTS: THE Thurrock School of Karate, which is run by chief instructor Rex Ovire took a team of students to the English and European Karate championship in Birmingham.
And his fighters came away with plenty of medals.
In Kata, Onome Ovire bagged first place with six year old Mason Hutchinson also a winner in the brown belt category. Other success went to Izabel Radley and Ovie Ovire (both 3rd). In Kumite placings went to Jayne Heslop (2nd), Onome Ovire (3rd) and Joseph Mumba (3rd).
