SNOOKER: EVEN a break of 41 by Dennis Hindley failed to help Aveley Ship, after they lost 4-2 to Springhouse A in the Thurrock Snooker League.
Defeat left them sitting in third place, and the points margin increase to three, compared to last weeks level points with the league leaders.
Grays Cons moved within one point of the league leaders, Stanford Cons B, after they wiped out Rileys with a 6-0 victory, as Stanford managed to stay on top when they beat Tilbury Community Centre 5-1.
Bottom place Springhouse B, won their second game in a row beating Aveley Village 4-2, leaving them only three points from moving off bottom spot.
An even match between Grays Working Mens Club and Stanford Cons A, left both teams non movers as their game ended in a 3-3 draw.
