NON-LEAGUE: BILLERICAY boss Craig Edwards says tomorrow’s league game with AVELEY is far more important than Monday night’s county cup final showdown between the two teams.
Town start the game at New Lodge a point behind the play-offs, and the Millers arrive three points adrift of safety.
Edwards said: “Given the situation for both sides, the league game is definitely more important.
“It is very tight in terms of the play-offs, and we have been off the boil for the last couple of games.
“We are looking for to Monday but, to be honest, every game is a cup final for us at the moment.”
Billericay’s only injury concern for the game is over keeper Ashlee Jones.
He faces a late fitness test on a knee problem, and Nicky Morgan is on standby to deputise.
CANVEY will be one of eight play-off hopefuls keeping a close eye on events at New Lodge tomorrow.
The Gulls moved up to fourth this week, and go to third-bottom Maidstone tomorrow.
Canvey have no new injury problems, and skipper Chris Moore could return to the side following illness.
