SNOOKER: STANFORD Cons B extended their lead at the top of the table with the help of a 36 break by Lew Seales and two frames each from Andy Burton and Simon Eves earning them a 5-1 victory over Rileys Wanderers.
With eight games without a win, Rileys are struggling at the lower part of the table. Only picking up two points from Grays Working Mens Club, they were unable to hold back Dan Palmer, Harry Townley and Daniel Foordfor the working men.
Two frames each from Jason Tree and Trevor Beard and one from Steve Boston gave Stanford Cons A five points over Springhouse A.
In a shock result, second from bottom Aveley Ship, beat second place Grays Cons 4-2. In a final frame with Steve Gill 15 points ahead, and the last four colours left on the table, Rob Bullen stepped up to clear the remaining balls, giving a delighted Ship only their second win of the season.
Springhouse B travelled to Tilbury Community Centre where the game was evenly matched with both teams picking up 3 points each.
