NON-LEAGUE PREVIEW: Concord Rangers face three key games in seven days from tonight that could determine whether they are set to finish the season in runners-up spot.

The Thames Road side visit an East Thurrock outside now fourth but trailing them by nine points this evening before hosting Rocks on Easter Monday.

And, on Saturday, Canvey based Concord are at a Wingate and Finchley side who moved into third place on Saturday with their 2-1 success at Thamesmead Town.

Concord, Wingate and East Thurrock are all more or less certainties for the play-offs now, along with fifth-placed Enfield Town, but finishing second is all-important as it guarantees home advantage throughout the end-of-season promotion mix.

Tilbury’s aim is to finish as high as possible and tonight they will look to move up from their current 12th position with victory at a Potters Bar Town side immediately below them.

In the Ryman Premier, Canvey island are definitely drinking in the last chance saloon when it comes to the play-offs as, down in 11th spot, they’re five points away from the top five with just six matches to go.

To stand any chance of staying involved they must get three points at Ashford Town (Mx) tonight.

Aveley, a place behind the islanders, have played three games less and could stay involved in the promotion dogfight if they beat sixth-placed Hastings United at home tonight.

In the Blue Square Premier, Grays Athletic’s almost certain relegation will move closer to being confirmed if they lose at home to play-off chasing York City tonight.

Thurrock certainly haven’t given up hope of capping their best ever season with a play-off spot and, to that end, will look for three points at Bromley tonight.

Essex Senior League action tonight sees Hullbridge hosting Burnham Ramblers, Basildon United entertain ing Barkingside and Southend Manor taking on London APSA at Southchurch Park.
