Tilbury 2, Waltham Forest 2 Ryman League Division 1 North (by Paul Tandy) Tilbury welcomed Waltham Forest to Chadfield’s on Tuesday night. The Dockers make two changes to the starting line-up which faced Enfield Town on Saturday, Dean Stannard carrying a slight strain - makes way for Lee Hodges in midfield as does Zubair Hazeem for the young Ex Gillingham midfielder Taylor Thomas.

The opening exchanges saw The Dockers come close, a Joe Keith corner resulted in Glen Golby’s header sail just over the bar.

Tilbury continue to press and force anther corner, once more Keith fires the ball into the box but this time Rickie Hayles rises high to nod the ball inches over the bar.

23rd minute and Lee Hodges sends a delightful ball into the box into the running path of Chris Taylor who swipes from close range as the ball whizzers past the post.

28th minute and Forest attack down the Tilbury right, Forests skipper Spencer Harrison does well to keep possession as he skips past two challenges from the Tilbury defence, Harrison places the ball across goal to the feet of Sam Adejokun and from 6 yards out slices his shot goal bound, Andy Hall the Dockers keepers down low to his left to push the ball out for a Forest corner.

35th minute and Forest take the lead, some creative work by Forests No 7 – Rubio Severino down the left, the tricky winger places the ball to the feet of Adejokun and from close range scores to make it 1-0 to the visitors.

Forest caught on the counter, Glen Golby with a long ball clearance up field into the path of Ben Bradbury who sets off towards goal with two Forest players in toe; Bradbury drops his shoulder and smashes the ball from the edge of the area but fails to his the target as the ball goes wide of the post.

Forest take possession in the last remaining minutes of the first period, some good work from Gbenga Sonuga as he takes command of his back line.

The second period and one change for the Dockers, Taylor Thomas off for Zubair Hazeem.

Forest start the second period as they finished the first, the visitors taking control of the game and lay strike on the Dockers goal, Forest get their second in the 57th minute a long ball up field resulted Dean Pennants well taken header from inside the box over the outstretched hands of Andy Hall making it 2-0 to the visitors.

The second Forest goal seems to act as a wake up call for the Dockers as the home side start to pick-up the pace. 60th minute and Christian Wheeler is upended in the penalty area - which resulted in the match official pointing to the spot. Joe Keith makes no mistake as he drills the ball in to the back of the net, past Sam Tanner who concedes his first goal of the season.

Tilbury continue to press and seem to be taking control of the game, Lee Hodge is upended 25 yards out, Joe Keith’s effort dealt with competently by Forests keeper Sam Tanner.

Christian Wheeler finds himself with the ball at his feet from 6 yards out, the midfielder’s goal-bound effort looks to catch the arm of a Forest defender as appeals from hand-ball is waved on by Match Official - Mr Baker.

Dockers make their second substitute; Lee Hayes enters the field and replaces Lee Hodges.

83rd minutes and The Dockers now dominating the game – Christian Wheeler opens up some space down the right, as he swings the ball across goal into the path of the Ben Bradbury who slots home from close range to make the score 2-2.

The Dockers continue to press the visitor’s defence, Jamie Wallace and Daniel Smith combing well and create yet another chance for the Dockers, which resulted in Chris Taylor’s effort sailing over the bar.

The visitor look dangerous on the counter, Severino Rubio causing the Tilbury defence concerns, however, Daniel Smith with some outstanding defending defusing any threat.

Forester keeper looks hurt as he bravely collides with two battling Tilbury players; Sam Tanner looks okay after receiving treatment.

The Match official allowing 10 minutes injury time as both teams battle for the win. However, the final whistle ending this lively game and full credit to both teams for serving up an entertaining game of football.
