Not ready - Blues boss Mark Molesley will not rush Simeon Jackson into action
SOUTHEND United new boy Simeon Akinola is not yet ready to be involved with the first team, according to Blues boss Mark Molesley.
Akinola signed a two year deal for the Shrimpers last week.
But Molesley will not rush the striker into action.
"He hasn’t had a pre-season," said Molesley.
"He’s kept himself fit by himself but the way the game is played now you have to make sure you have a solid bank of work behind you.
"We can’t risk rushing people and them being out for a long period."
