FORMER Southend United striker Simon Cox feels Craig Fagan should be the Shrimpers' next first team manager.
Fagan has impressed the club's hierachy during his spell in charge of Blues' under 23 team.
And Cox is certain the former Hull City forward has what it takes to make the step up.
"Give Craig Fagan the chance," tweeted Cox.
"He coached a lot of the young players who have just been given new contracts and can continue their progress.
"It would show a plan is in place for the long term in my opinion."
Cox scored 45 goals in 172 appearances while with Blues between July 2016 and January 2020.
He now plays for Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia.
