FORMER Bowers & Pitsea striker David Knight has completed a move to Tilbury.

The striker, who was released by Isthmian Premier League side Bowers yesterday, wasted no time in finding a new club.

And Tilbury boss Marc Harrison, who has also signed former Bowers man Ryan Mallett from Barking, is pleased to acquired Knight’s services.

Harrison, the former Basildon United manager, said: “We are delighted to get both Ryan Mallett and David Knight over the line this week.

“We are a club that wants to move forward and these two exciting players add to a squad that is hungry to be successful.

“I do trust this squad and we will continue to push for progression.

“It’s an exciting challenge being here and we cannot ask for anything more from the club.

“A huge welcome to both Ryan and David.”

Knight left the Len Salmon Stadium having scored an impressive 79 goals in 134 appearances for Bowers.

And, having played a key role as Rob Small’s side clinched the Isthmian North title last term, the striker will be hoping for similar success at Chadfields.
