STEVE Butterworth admits Great Wakering Rovers face a tricky FA Cup preliminary round tie tomorrow.
Wakering will make the trip to Walthamstow, who are among the favourites to win the Essex Senior League title this season.
And Butterworth, whose side are the current Isthmian North table-toppers after recording back-to-back wins over Felixstowe & Walton United and Tilbury, knows Walthamstow will be keen to cause an upset.
The Wakering player-manager said: “Walthamstow are a very good side and we had them watched last week.
“They are among the favourites to win the Essex Senior League title this season.
“I think they are big, strong, get in your face and work hard.
“They are very direct and physical, so they are not too dissimilar to what we faced against Tilbury earlier this week.
“We need to stand up and be counted.
“If we think we can just go there and turn up, we will get rolled over.
“We need to do what we have done in the first two games of the season.”
Walthamstow have won both of their Essex Senior League fixtures so far this term and boast numerous players who have Isthmian North experience.
But Butterworth’s side are in fine form ahead of the trip.
