GRAYS boss Justin Edinburgh has not ruled out the transfer-listed pair, Ben Watson and Simon Downer, from appearing for the club again.
The two players, along with the now departed Donny Barnard, showed a "complete lack of respect to their team mates" according to Edinburgh after they were caught drinking enjoying food and drink in the club's bar during the second half of Grays' 2-0 defeat to York last Saturday.
The Blues boss decided their actions were so inappropriate they should be placed on the transfer list.
It was thought the pair would be shipped out as soon as possible but after today's 2-0 loss to Stevenage, Edinburgh admits there may be a way back for them.
"Their behaviour was totally inappropriate but both Simon and Ben have apologised," said Edinburgh.
"Ben has promised this will not happen again and asked to be given a second chance and I am sure he will. We will have to see how it plays out."
