Aveley are out of the Isthmian League Cup after they were surprisingly put to the sword by Cheshunt.
The Ambers, managed by former Millers boss Craig Edwards, were 4-0 winners at Parkside.
Aveley, who included under-18 captain Joe Elliott for his competitive debut, were no match for Cheshunt who sit third in the Isthmian League South Central Division.
Emiel Aiken opened the scoring on 14 minutes before Hafeez Sansui doubled the lead 10 minutes before half-time.
Ali Chantery added a third before the break to leave the hosts reeling.
The final goal was scored in the final 10 minutes by Kojo Awotwi, with only several fine saves by Millers stopper David Hughes keeping it at four.
Aveley: Hughes, Sampayo, Bourne (Gibbs 46), Love (Richardson 73), Elliott, Cross, Milner, Reid (Doyle 55), Teniola, Ngandu, Freeman
