LOOKING AHEAD: East Thurrock United are looking for more home comforts when St Albans City visit Rookery Hill tomorrow.
After a rotten start to term, Rocks have now won their last two at Rookery Hill, with 1-0 the scoreline.
That defensive solidity will please manager John Coventry as much as anything else, although the lack of goals remains a concern with just three all season long - an own goal and two for Danilo Orsi-Dadomo.
St Albans represent a tricky test for East Thurrock. Perennial challengers near the summit, their matches have not been short of action so far this season.
With fifteen goals scored and the same amount conceded in eight games, maybe Rocks fans are more likely to see the net ruffle tomorrow.
MANAGER’S VIEW: “St Albans were a good side last year and I don’t see any reason why they won’t be this season,” said Coventry. “They will be hard to beat and they are entertaining going forward.
“We had a friendly with Romford on Tuesday and I got what I wanted out of it.
“I need Sam Higgins fit and once he is he can chip in with a few goals for us.”
