Thurrock Harriers long jump star Funminiyi Olajide continued her recent superb form by retaining the national under-17 long jump title at the England Athletic Championships.
The 16-year-old was in superb form at Bedford International Stadium last Saturday.
Her first jump of six metres was the target mark for the opposition and none could come close, with Olajide winning by a margin of 28cm.
And Olajide is now looking to achieve more success, along with fellow member Theo Adesina, as the team attempts to win the Eastern Young Athletics League on September 2.
The duo are also looking forward to the Schools Games in two weeks time where they will represent England.
