GRAYS Athletic and Tilbury registered contrasting results in their latest pre-season friendlies ahead of the Isthmian North campaign.

While Grays recorded victory, Tilbury suffered a narrow a defeat on the road.

Grays came from two goals down to claim a 3-2 win against National League side Bromley.

Jamie Stuart’s side went behind inside two minutes at Parkside, with the visitors netting from the penalty spot.

And Bromley doubled their advantage nine minutes later to seemingly give Grays a mountain to climb.

However, Grays halved the deficit three minutes later as Geofrey Okonkwo found the back of the net and the home side were given an added boost as Bromley were reduced to 10 men on the half-hour mark.

Donovan Simmonds equalised eight minutes after the break and an own goal, on 58 minutes, proved to be the winner.

Tilbury were condemned to a 1-0 defeat by Ashford United.

The winner came after 76 minutes, with Sam Corne finding the back of the net.
