SHEPHERD NEAME SUMMARY: Orsett & Thurrock closed to within six points of the Division One play-off places after a six-wicket win over Woodford Wells.
Woodford were put into bat first and they impressed to reach 233, although none of their batsmen went on to make a big score. Shahid Khan took 3-27.
Nawaz Ahmad Jan (55), Paul Bennett (44) and Mark Pavitt (42 not out) helped Orsett pass the revised target.
Horndon-on-the-Hill beat Oakfield Parkonians by four wickets in Division Two, skittling the away side for 202.
Openers Tom Stone (50) and Jack Walsh (57) helped Horndon pass a revised target.
The win keeps Horndon safe in mid-table.
In Division Three, Stanford-le-Hope were beaten by 116 runs against Westcliff.
Westcliff chose to bat and scored 261 in their 50 overs - Jack Carter taking 3-20.
Stanford were 145-8 when rain fell and Westcliff were declared winners by the Duckworth-Lewis method.
Orrie Fernandes top scored with 36.
