Aveley 1-0 Wroxham
From Mill Field
Ryman One North
AVELEY made it back-to-back 1-0 wins after Brian Okwera struck to down Wroxham.
The Millers man headed in after 20 minutes to secure the points for Justin Gardner’s team and continue their impressive end of season form.
Wroxham could have opened the scoring when an early shot was fired at goal although goalkeeper James Marrable was right behind the effort.
Jackson Ramm and Nicky Pavey also came close for the away side before the Millers scored with one of their first chances.
A cross was swung in by Abs Seymour and Okwera jumped highest to beat the Wroxham goalkeeper.
Ramm hit the bar as another chance for the visitors went begging with Jamie Forshaw shooting wide.
After the break, Michael Pindy hit the post for Aveley while Thomas Collumbine couldn’t beat James Marrable when clean through on goal.
And it stayed at 1-0, as Marrable and the home team made it three wins in their last four.
Aveley: Marrable, Dunn, Yala, Coyne, Okwera, Edwards, Nash (Rene), Retkoceri, Conway (Tobon), Pindy (Asante), Seymour
