GP & Romford 270-4 dec
Stanford 186-7
CRICKET: AN opening stand of 110 from Jordan Dodd (52) and Alex Ellis (47) wasn't quite enough to kickstart a run chase and secure Stanford a third victory of the season.
A hard fought draw against Gidea Park and Romford was all Stanford could muster after the home side amassed 270, Russell Collard (81) and Phil Walker (79) the main contributors with the bat.
Ben Tarten was the pick of the Stanford bowlers with figures of 1-38 off 9 overs.
The total was always going to be a big ask for Stanford to chase down. B But once Stanford’s openers were removed, the persistence of the Gidea Park & Romford bowling attack began to make inroads and the game ended in a draw with Stanford on 186-7.
Russell Collard following up his batting heroics with an impressive bowling showing, with4-21 off 13 overs.
