GOLF: ORSETT saw 16 pairs of borough ladies contest the Centennial Foursomes Trophy.
It was a closely fought event.
And only 10 points separated the competitive field.
Once all games were completed, scores in and adjudicated, two pairs were in the lead on 33 points.
Andrea Eustace and Marion Dixon, and Jacquie Callaway and Tina Priebatsch were the front runners.
On count-back, Callaway and Priebatsch were the winners, with their rivals in the runners-up slot.
Ladies Captain Joyce McFarlane presented the Centennial Trophy to the winning duo.
The winners thanked their playing partners, Bev McAnally and Margaret Oliver, for a very close and enjoyable game and said how delighted they both were to be this year’s winners.
