Early Years pupils from a Stanford-le-Hope primary school joined elderly nursing home residents in making poppies coming up to Remembrance Sunday.
Inspired by a TV programme, pupils from Arthur Bugler Primary School were taken by their teacher, Jan Scott, to Collins House in Corringham to help the residents with arts and crafts
Ms Scott said: "We took inspiration from the recent Channel 4 programme, 'Old People's Home for Young Children' and with Remembrance Sunday in mind, thought how lovely it would be to take a few of our Early Years children along to Collins House to make poppies together through the shared experience of Remembrance.
"It was a a very positive experience for everyone involved and a beginning to build links in the local community."
