St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School held a ‘celebration of diversity’ on Sunday July 18.
The day was a ‘huge success’ according to organisers, including demos from local dance schools, a Polish stall and African food.
Over £5,500 was raised to buy resources for the school.
The day was put on by the PTA committee to bring attention to the school’s ‘rich and diverse mix of languages, cultures and nationalities.’
Mrs Chris Birtles, Headteacher, said: "It was lovely to see the children, parents, parish and wider community working in harmony for the benefit of St Thomas of Canterbury School children."
Organisations with school links made an appearance including: Thurrock Adult Community College, Grays library, Grays Fire Station, Grays Police, The Neighbourhood Watch and Lush from Lakeside.
