POLICE are investigating after a woman was found dead at a property in Grays.
Officers were called to Seabrooke Rise by ambulance crews at around 9am following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
The East of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, rapid response car and the hazardous area response team to the scene.
Police entered and found a woman had died. The death is not being treated as suspicious but enquiries are continuing.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "Sadly nothing could be done for the patient and they were declared deceased at the scene."
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Police assisted the ambulance service after they were called following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
"Police entered the property and found the woman was deceased.
"At this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries are continuing."
