A man has been arrested after a stolen vehicle crashed into parked cars.
Police were called to Skitts Hill in Braintree around 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday, September 19) after a Ginetta was involved in a collision.
The sports car, which had been stolen from an address in Marlborough Road, smashed into a number of cars parked along the side of the road.
After arriving at the scene, officers chased the suspected driver of the vehicle who ran off from the scene.
An officer suffered minor injuries during a short pursuit after they had stones thrown at them.
The chase ended when a 34-year-old man from Braintree was arrested on suspicion of burglary, attempted burglary, aggravated taking a conveyance without consent, assaulting an emergency worker and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
A number of suspected stolen items were also recovered.
The man remains in police custody.
