Aldi shoppers are being given an early taste of autumn with the return of the supermarket’s hugely popular home fragrance collection, including a £6.99 pumpkin candle that costs 65 per cent less than a designer rival.
Autumn may still be weeks away, but Aldi is already getting shoppers ready for pumpkin spice season with a huge new collection of candles and diffusers.
The Aldi autumn candle range launches in stores on August 13, with prices starting at £2.99.
New Aldi autumn candle dupes
And one of the biggest talking points is likely to be the supermarket’s Decorative Pumpkin Candle, priced at £6.99.
The 170g candle comes in Aldi’s signature seasonal scents including Pumpkin Spice, Fallen Leaves and Vanilla Pumpkin, with Aldi positioning it as an affordable alternative to Anthropologie’s much pricier pumpkin candle.
At £6.99, Aldi says shoppers can save 65 per cent compared with the £20 Anthropologie Gourmand Pumpkin Sweet Vanilla Mini Glass Pumpkin Candle.
That means the Aldi version is £13.01 cheaper, making it an easy pick for anyone wanting the expensive-looking autumn aesthetic without the designer price tag.
The Decorative Pumpkin Candle combines seasonal décor with home fragrance, making it particularly suited to autumn displays.
The Pumpkin Spice scent features notes of pumpkin, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and clove, while Fallen Leaves brings together amber, musk, warm spices and autumn apple.
There is also a Vanilla Pumpkin option, described as a smooth blend of whipped vanilla and spiced pumpkin.
But the pumpkin candle is far from the only bargain in Aldi's new collection.
Aldi autumn candles from £2.99
The cheapest buy in the range is the Autumn Jar Candle at £2.99, giving shoppers a low-cost way to bring seasonal scents into their homes.
There is also a selection of £3.99 candles and reed diffusers, including Autumn Wooden Lid Candles, Autumn Icon Candles and the new 3D Autumn Candles.
The 3D designs feature decorative autumn shapes including mushrooms, pumpkins and pinecones, sitting on top of the wax.
They come in three scents: Harvest Warmth, Cosy Comfort and Autumn Glow.
The Harvest Warmth fragrance combines crisp apple with amber, moss and rum, while Cosy Comfort features cinnamon, raspberry and apple.
Autumn Glow has a sweeter gourmand fragrance with honey and caramelised nutty notes.
For shoppers who prefer a more traditional autumn scent, the Autumn Icon Candle (£3.99) and matching Reed Diffuser (£3.99) return in Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Pumpkin and Fallen Leaves.
Aldi's giant £19.99 Hurricane candle is back
One of Aldi's biggest autumn favourites is also making a comeback.
The Autumn Hurricane Candle costs £19.99 and weighs a hefty 2.1kg, with Aldi claiming it can burn for up to 140 hours.
It comes in two seasonal scents: Pumpkin Spice and Fallen Leaves.
The Pumpkin Spice version features pumpkin, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and clove, while Fallen Leaves combines amber, musk, warm spices and autumn apple.
There is also a Metallic Fall Icon Candle for £4.99, offering up to 90 hours of burn time, and a Rustic Autumn Centrepiece for £12.99.
The latter comes in either a boat or pumpkin design, with Fallen Leaves offering up to 17 hours of burn time and Vanilla Pumpkin up to 16 hours.

The full Aldi Autumn Home Fragrance collection lands in stores on Thursday, August 13.
As with Aldi's Specialbuys, shoppers are being warned that the seasonal products are available only while stocks last.
So if you're already counting down to pumpkin spice season, the £6.99 pumpkin candle could be one of the first buys worth looking out for when the collection hits the middle aisle.
