A MAN leapt from the QE2 bridge in the early hours of this morning.
Police had been told there were concerns for the welfare of the man, in his mid 20’s from Kent, yesterday evening, and logged his details and those of a vehicle onto the police national computer.
Automatic number plate recognition cameras picked up the vehicle heading south on the M25, toward Kent, and officers from Essex Police saw it stop on the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, between Thurrock and Dartford, where the man ran out and jumped off the bridge.Police are searching the River Thames and areas beneath the bridge to try and find him.
