A NEW head teacher is at the helm of Gable Hall School.
Doctor Sophina Asong has taken over from John King OBE, who retired before Easter.
Dr Asong, who was an acting headteacher in Newham before she go the job at the school in Corringham, said: “It is a huge honour and my privilege to have been appointed to give steer to this vibrant, warm and extremely high achieving school.
“This promises to be an exciting and very promising next phase of developments here.
“Inspite of being outstanding in many ways, all the staff and students at Gable Hall School still retain that hunger to be better and to keep improving.
“It shall be our collective mission to work closely with students, parents and all our stakeholders to ensure our students achieve the best possible educational outcomes in the years ahead.”
