A WOMAN killed after she was hit by a train near to East Tilbury railway station has been named.
Vivienne Carter, 47, of Thomas Bata Avenue, East Tilbury, was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday, November 1, at about 6.30pm.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
An inquest was opened and closed into her death last Friday at Chelmsford Coroner’s Court – the hearing is expected to be held in the new year.
