OUR speaker this week was Sharon Lyons from Bella Flowers, who gave a demonstration of flower arranging. Her first piece was a pedestal decorated with roses and gerbers, she then did a display of gladioli and sweet williams, which was raffled and won by Maureen Benford.
She gave tips on how to keep flowers fresh longer and how to revive roses. She also chatted about her job and finished by answering questions. The minutes were read and agreed, and members all wore something yellow to commemorate Air Ambulance day and £1 was donated by each member for the charity.
