A GP accused of sexually assaulting four female patients is to stand trial.

Rajinder Aggarwal, 53, denied four counts of sexual assault when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Friday.

The offences are alleged to have happened in South Ockendon and London - where Aggarwal practiced at surgeries - between December 2006 and January 2007.

Aggarwal, who has been suspended by the General Medical Council since 2007, was released on unconditional bail and will return to the court for trial on Monday, March 16.
