YEAR 10 students from Gable Hall School in Corringham went to Orsett Fire Station for a talk on becoming a fire fighter.
The students, from the BTEC Public Services group, spent time with the Green Watch learning what being a fire fighter involves.
They saw a demonstration on cutting drivers out of cars, did some team building activities, met with the fitness team and stayed for lunch.
Public Services teacher Mrs Feeney said: “The pupils had an excellent morning which provided them with lots of information for their coursework.
“Our thanks to Green Watch for such an informative visit.”
