THURROCK mayor, councillor John Everett and representatives from local churches attended a service of rededication at the Co-operative Funeralcare centre in Grays today.
The local funeral service has refurbished the premises, including the Chapels of Rest and they were dedicated and blessed at a service led by Rev Darren Barlow, team rector of Grays, and Major Howard Evans of Thurrock Salvation Army.
At the end of the service at the Hathaway road premises the mayor and Major Evans released doves to mark the event.
Co-op regional manager Andy Smith welcomed guests to the service and paid tribute to his staff who had worked through the refurbishment and whose effort and commitment to customers was second to none.
