PLANS to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and disorder in Thurrock have been put in place.
The Thurrock Community Safety Partnership has launched its Strategy for 2008-2011, setting out its four strategic aims.
As well as cutting incidents of crime, anti-social behaviour and disorder, it aims to bring extra support and protection to the vulnerable, reduce death and serious injury through accidents and fires and create a safe community by promoting tolerance and good citizenship.
The partnership involves Thurrock Council, Thurrock Police, Essex Probation, Essex Fire and Rescue Services, the Primary Care Trust and the voluntary sector.
The launch was attended by Partnership Members including Graham Carey, Neighbourhood and Partnership Superintendent for Thurrock Police, Angie Ridgwell, Chief Executive of Thurrock Council, Alex Bamber, Chief Probation Officer for Essex, and Steve Reynolds for Thurrock and Brentwood Fire and Rescue Service.
