A CORRINGHAM charity shop are to get a helping hand from Basildon and East Thurrock MP Angela Smith on Saturday October 25.
She will be volunteering herself to her out at Barnardo's charity shop at St John's Way, from 12pm.
Barnardo's invited Angela, saying: "As someone who kindly volunteered your time last year, we wondered if you would be interested in volunteering again this year."
Angela happily accepted the offer.
She said: "Make a Difference Day on October 25 is a great opportunity to raise the profile of volunteering in Essex.
"Already one in five people in the country help out by volunteering one way or another, in their communities.
"I am going to the Barnardo's shop in Corringham, as it is an essential part of the network of fundraising shops for this important children's charity."
