STANFORD-le-Hope and District Scouts have recently returned from successful camping trips.
The 2nd Stanford-le-Hope Scout Group spent their weekend at Belchamps Activity Centre, near Southend.
Among the Pirate-themed activities scouts built a pirate ship, making the leaders walk the plank and dressing up with patches and pretend parrots.
1st Horndon-on-the-Hill Scout Group have also recently been on adventures.
They spent a weekend at Thriftwood Scout and Guide Camp site near Brentwood.
They took part in more back to basics camping, including cooking their own food on open fires.
Some other activities included circus skills, challenge course and pedal karts.
1st Corringham Scout Group have also been away to Thriftwood Camp site.
They did rifle shooting, inflatables, raft building and racing as well as water zorbing.
Scouts spokesman Owen Ward, said: "Although the weather was kind for the first two camps, the heavens opened on 1st Corringham, however this didn’t dampen spirits and the young people still had a brilliant time.
