THAMESIDE Theatre in Grays has two events lined up for youngsters this half term.

On Tuesday October 28 there are two showings of educational show The Magical Bamboo at 1pm and 3.30pm, where children can learn and discover more about Giant Pandas.

Joined by Mr Panda and Penny Panda the colourful cast will tell the audience all about the habitats of pandas and the problems they face today, in a show which is ideal for children at key stage 1 and 2.

The Polka Dot Holiday School is back again from Thursday October 30 to Saturday November 1 from 10.00am-4.00pm.

This three day workshop for 8-16 year-olds gives youngsters the opportunity to act, sing and dance their way towards a short performance based on a famous West End musical, which is Oliver this year.

The pupils then perform in front of family and friends, who can watch for free, on the Saturday at 4.30pm.

Tickets for The Magical Bamboo are £6, or £5.50 when you buy four or more.

Polka Dot Holiday School places are £50 each for the 4-day workshop.

Call the Thameside Theatre box office on 0845 300 5264 to book or reserve.
