TWO men have been bailed after a crash in which two men were hit by a car.
The crash happened when a good Samaritan - a 31-year-old man from Grays, stopped to help a man who had broken down in his red Honda Civic.
As the pair began pushing the car they were struck by a silver Vauxhall Corsa on the A126 at West Thurrock Way near to Ikea.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man from Grays on suspicion of drink driving and a 33-year-old man from London on suspicion of careless driving.
Both men have been released on bail until December.
The good Samaritan, who suffered serious leg injuries, remains in hospital in a serious condition.
