MORE than 40 children from East Thurrock Kids Club enjoyed a Pirate-themed party to help raise money for cystic fibrosis sufferers.
They celebrated the Government scheme which uses a pirate treasure-chest idea to help encourage young children to read books at home.
The club raised over £50 at the party, which was held at Stanford Children's Centre, Copland Road, on Friday October 10.
Each child was encouraged to dress as a pirate and they took part in a number of pirate themed activities including a spectacular Pirate ship cake.
Club leader Linda Wade, said: "The children enjoyed the pirate themed party thoroughly."
