Drivers are facing disruption after a reported burst water main forced the closure of a busy road.
Broomfield Road, Chelmsford, is closed between Parkway and First Avenue.
Motorists are unable to use the affected stretch while the issue is dealt with.
Delays are also reported on Chelmer Valley Way northbound as drivers divert away from Broomfield Road.
Essex and Suffolk Water has been contacted for comment.
