A road leading on and off Canvey Island has been closed in both directions this evening.
This is due to a 'police incident', according to AA traffic data.
The B1014 Canvey Road is shut between High Street and the A130 Canvey Way at Waterside Roundabout.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and plan alternative routes, with disruption expected for traffic travelling between Canvey Island and the A130.
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
