Care leavers in Thurrock were given the chance to explore education, training and employment opportunities at a special careers event.
The Pathways to Apprenticeships event was hosted by Thurrock Council at the Inspire Employability and Skills Hub in Grays on July 30.
It brought together colleges, training providers and careers specialists to help young people learn more about the opportunities available to them.
Attendees were able to speak directly with experts about apprenticeships, further education, training programmes and career pathways.

They also received advice and guidance to help them plan their futures and make informed decisions about their next steps.
Milena Bingley, councillor responsible for education, skills and children's services, said: “We are committed to ensuring our care leavers have access to the support and opportunities they need to build successful and fulfilling futures.
“The Pathways to Apprenticeships event provided young people with valuable information, practical advice and the opportunity to speak directly with organisations that can help them achieve their goals.
