A CAR fire on the M25 is causing traffic and delays at the Dartford Tunnel this morning with emergency services reportedly on the scene.

It's believed that the incident is taking place on the anticlockwise carriageway between junction 1a to Dartford, and junction 31 to Lakeside.

The incident was first reported at around 9.45am.

Long queues of traffic are reported as far back as junction 2, with two lanes and one tunnel remaining closed.

There is currently no information about the severity of the fire or the status of its passengers.

Emergency services are said to be on the scene and have been contacted for comment.
