Three-quarters of pupils starting secondary school in Thurrock this September have been offered their top school choice.
Offers announced today, revealed that 76 per cent of students will be able to attend their first choice of school, with 90 per cent of children being allocated one of their top three preferences.
There were a total of 2,436 applications for secondary school places for September 2025.
Thurrock Council councillor Vikki Hartstean said: "It is terrific that three-quarters of children in our borough are going to their first choice of school and that 90 per cent have been offered a place at one of their top three secondary school choices.
"We are proud of our services, which have worked hard to offer school places to more than 2,400 young people in our borough.
"I would like to wish all of the pupils who are checking their applications today the best of luck as they take this exciting next step in their educational journey."
