A motorist who was caught speeding 7mph above the limit has been handed a six-month driving ban.
Sheldon Hurrell, 57, of Westborough Road, Westcliff, was driving on the A127 in Nevendon on October 4 last year when he was recorded speeding at 57mph, Southend Magistrates' Court heard.
The limit was 50mph
The offence was proved via the single justice procedure and Hurrell has now been fined £307 and banned from driving for six months.
He must also pay costs of £110 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £123.
