A WOMAN has been banned from shops in Grays after being caught stealing from two retailers.
Martha Ernest admitted to stealing items from Poundland and Tesco stores in Grays at Southend Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday.
Ernest was arrested last Monday and was charged with thefts from the two shops.

She also faced a charge of obstructing an officer in the execution of their duty after giving a false name at the time of her arrest.
The 42-year-old was sentenced to a 12-month community order, directed to attend a drug rehabilitation course, and ordered to pay £241 compensation.
She is also banned from entering Grays Shopping Centre and Tesco, in Southend Road, Grays, for two years.
