POLICE are investigating an incident on the A13 after an item thrown from a bridge left a driver with cuts.

It was reported to police that a piece of hardcore was thrown from a bridge over the A13 on 6:05pm on July 21.

The item struck the windscreen of a vehicle, smashing it and leaving the driver with cuts to his neck and arms.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and footage of the incident.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are investigating an incident on the A13 at Fobbing where an item was thrown from a bridge.

“It was reported a piece of hardcore was thrown from a bridge over the A13 at 6.05pm on 21 July

“It struck the windscreen of a vehicle, smashing it and leaving the driver with cuts to his neck and arms.
