A SOUTHEND man has avoided jail after being caught by police with magic mushrooms and cannabis.
Alfie Clarke was arrested in Canvey on June 11 of last year.
Clarke was found to be in possession of 3.41g of magic mushrooms a class A drug, and a quantity of cannabis, which is class B.
The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences at Southend Magistrates’ Court.
Clarke, of St Mary’s Road, Southend, was fined £200, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, and told t pay costs of £145 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
