A DRINK driver who got behind the wheel has been banned from the roads for three years.
Charles Cachia, 66, of Military Road, Colchester, was found to have 144 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres in blood when he was stopped by police in Military Road on July 19.
The legal limit is 80.
At Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court Cachia was handed a 36 month ban and fined £258.
He must also pay a victim services fund of £34 and costs of £105.
