TONY Curtis took members on a journey In the footsteps of the Pharaohs'' as he talked about his twenty-first century holiday in Egypt.
He showed numerous, excellent slide views of the ancients temples, tombs and artifacts and of modern day life in the towns and villages along the Nile. It was a really interesting show.
Jenny White gave the vote of thanks.
The badminton section has resumed its weekly meetings, after the Christmas break. Rambling will begin again in March, as the walkers will be representing the Guild at a Federation Quiz, next month.
The next Guild meeting is 7.30pm, February 13, in Corringham Village Hall when Mike Logan Wood will be sharing his knowledge of the Secret Lives of Garden Birds.
The competition is a wildlife photograph. Members are reminded that subscriptions are due. Visitors will be very welcome.
