ANOTHER Covid death has been recorded in the Braintree district.
The number of coronavirus cases increased by 150 in the last 24 hours and one more death was recorded.
Official figures show 415 people have now died in the area – an increase of two this week.
A total of 21,512 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in the district since the pandemic began.
The rate of infection in Braintree now stands at 14,052 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 15,026.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 46,654 in the last 24 hours to 10,021,497.
There have been 14,636 deaths recorded across the East of England.
